I currently work at Adknown as a full time Game Developer. Originally was role was to design and build games, but recently as the team expanded I have shifted into a support role, providing design support, tool creation, and maintaining and updating our existing library of published games. Examples of my published works can be found below.
Color Ball Z (Unity)
Most recently released game developed at Adknown. Built in collaboration with Team Lead to experiment with missions and integrating the UI with gameplay.
Circle Circle (Unity)
My most recently developed game at Adknown, built without collaboration. Game contains two unlockable gameplay modes in addition to the base game.
Flippy Food (Unity)
Developed at Adknown after completing an unfinished game by a developer who left the company. This game’s focus was a main menu that allowed you to jump right into the gameplay.
MECC/Blue Flame Engine (C++)
6 Degrees/Casual Critters
Contract project with Wilfrid Laurier University and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. Developed two similar games as part of a research study to determine how easily attitudes and behaviors towards the fragile environment could be changed through video games.
Mission Transmission (Unity)
Game created for Global Game Jam 2018 with the theme of (disease) transmission. Built as part of a three person team of coders using free unity assets. After the event, ported to both android devices and browser.
Disappointing Your Dad (Unity)
Game created for TOJam 2017 as part of a three person team. The theme of the game jam was “disappointment”. Designed to be turn based RPG game with an unbeatable final boss, where you level yourself up but cannot defeat the boss, so you try again to reach a higher level. Secret boss if you idle at the opening area.
Public Code Repository
Wave Switch (Unity)
Game created for Global Game Jam 2017 as part of a six person team. The theme of the game jam was “Waves”. Basic platformer with wave addition mechanics. I coded the controls and mechanics.
My first ever game jam game, created for Global Game Jam 2016 as part of a 3 person team – one programmer, one tester, and one “artist”. The theme of the game jam was “Rituals” and our game calls back to rain dances and similar rituals.
